not sure why you can only post 5 or 6 at a time.

Impressive! I remember you have youtube on TechDraw but without sound.

I am currently stuck with TechDraw showing Door object (ok with Arc Inv opening direction, but error w/ Arc Opening, i.e. not Inv direction).

I try workaround by adding an arc but as York indicated, TechDraw still seems doesn't like Arc, similar to Arc Opening Door Object. How do you do that in your drawings?

BTW, what do you do the blockwall - hatching in the 2D drawings, or draw every block in 3d (arrary?)

Thanks for any hints!

Oh, yeah I tested a simple arch in techdraw and it seems to work now. But you are right, it didn't use to work, as you can see on this drawing, I simply cheated my way with triangles for door arch when I was creating this project and it didn't work. But now I believe it works. I did not use the current arch embedded into the door tool. it behaves in strange ways all the time, so I basically use 2D lines for door and window arch for now.

As for the hatching, they are simply individual 3d blocks. In the past I couldn't find a reliable way to create brick pattern hatches like in autocad, so the most obvious thing to do was to create each brick. Now the workflow here is rather interesting, On this project we are talking about (Urbana) the workflow started from blender, so everything is modeled in blender, including the bricks, and brought into freecad for finetunning, this allows for cleanner model in both platforms. On the other project which this is the plan here (project 5k.4.5k) the workflow is reversed, it goes from Freecad to blender. so everything is modelled in freecad and then imported into blender. This workflow is more slower, because freecad is naturally slow at modeling, and in blender you have the extra added effort of cleaning up the meshes and scaling, if you find that you can't work with them in their tiangulated mesh like form instead of clean solids.
I think I'll make a tutorial on this as well. good call for a nice tutorial. I tried the array a few times, but i don't like it, it's abit annoying to control. So what do si that I control them from level of brick to the next level in each folder as in the 5k.4.5k model.
the reason I like to do this 3d modeling of bricks, is because I like to have the real brick to work with, if feels as thought you are the mason when you have the bricks, so you can easily identify places where bricks need to be trimmed, and get an exact count of the bricks.
the drawback is that the file gets heavy, So one of my strategies to remedy this is to create another file where the only the bricks will be stored, and their step file stored aswell, when necessary merge it, with the original drawing to extract hatches etc,
But i've not yet tested this alternative, i will probably do so on another project.

you can take a look at the final 5k.4.5k model here at this link:
https://github.com/chopinregis/5k.4.5k-Casa

If you want to look at the previous files, that I saved a various intervals, some of them had issues, with windows, some were too heavy, etc, but are the original files and contains more experimented files:

Thanks.
I just can't make consistency result w/ arc at TechDraw yet!?

These drawings were released as open source or something similar. They consider plan, elevation and details sheets. Now with FreeCAD it is possible to put everything and adding more in just one file: Full 3D parametric model + Drawings Sheets + IFC spreadsheets with components and materials.

With this parametric file, It would be really easy to change and adapt the design for different conditions and share the new versions with the community using Creative Commons licence.

Is there a Creative Commons stamp in the SVG Symbols library?
