"Marriage" of bow and aft section. Conning tower protoype. Front rudder steering holder finished.
Btw is this thread of any interest to you ? Just asking because it has not much more to do with FC but building. Let me know.

What a day. One of those "good, bad and ugly" ones.
Good:
Body separator finished. Vertical and horizontal bars are giving a snug fit of the two sections. No need for screws and stuff. Worked as designed. 8-)
Bad:
Bow and Aft section 2°degrees out of line. Lesson learned here. When building a skeleton body with a separator part in it start with that and work your way outwards. Took 2.5 hrs to correct it. Aaaaargh ....
Ugly:
Probably no one else will notice it but i now know it and it will always catch my attention.

Body separator detail. Aft rudder holder with red plastic cover because i'am short of 1mm aluminum in the moment.

Front rudder show off (ahem ... cough). Making sure that the rudder shape does not touch the hull when in action (the serious part of it).

The "married" VIIC. Worst parts before the hull ar finished. All openings geometries for the hull are fixed now. Only thing left are the hundreds of cutouts in the hull. May be it will not be that hard when my idea works out .... but which idea of _this_ ship builder ...

Front rudder mechanics finished except the paddles. A "hot pluggable" rudder section.

Lazy me. Just the prep work for the hull done. Hull shall be done next week.
Have been busy with a DO215 RC-scale setup. The "skeleton" here is a 1:2 test mockup to see if all the parts a fitting. To fit the thread theme lets call it a flying sub ...

The hull with two Layers of Nylon, results in approx. 0.8mm thickness. The hull itseld is so stiff you could use as a racket. Cutout for the ventilation inlets worked as planned. Pls note that only black and amber nylons will work for a sub, not the pink ones.
