Stephenson's ROCKET
I'm sure doesn't really need an introduction.

Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
Well done! Incredible detail.
What version of FreeCAD did you use?

Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
@un1corn amazing work! Would it be OK with you if we used your images in the Release notes of the next FreeCAD version? (if there is core-dev and community consensus, of course)

@un1corn:
Your work is a gemstone! No words man...
Would you share your FC-file?
If so, can I give away some screenshots to people outside the forum?

Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
I beg to differ. Never heard of it before.
For the benefit of others like me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephenson's_Rocket
Awesome work!
Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
Thank you all for your comments.
PLEASE note that this model is not my design but taken from plans available on the Internet and is not a working model.
I used FreeCad Version V 0.16 for this work.
I do not have any objections to the screen shots being used and shared providing the design of the model is not credited to me.
I have tried to attach the File as requested by 'tschrader' but at 8.4 MB was to large to include here but I have attached a few more snips and would happily do more views if requested.
If anyone would like the plans I will happily send the website details.
I have a bit of a passion for all types of vapour engines and will post more in due course if there are no objection.

Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
Nicely done.
Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
I have two questions. Did you have some drawings with dimensions, or is model made from pictures?
Can you sand me the models to www.uschovna.cz ? Only for studiing purposes. There is english version of this site too.
Thank you.

Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
Wow, I am thinking to go back to 0.16 now.
Re: Stephenson's ROCKET
As this has been revived recently I read more about this interesting project of early mobility. I wondered about the tubing and think that something is wrong with one of the connections. Comparing this connection at the upper left of the engine ... ... with this real replica ... https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cate ... ey_(2).jpg the former probably shouldn't be connected.
Nevertheless: it is a phantastic FreeCAD model! And we know that making such a connection in FreeCAD 0.16 was much more difficult than not making it.
