Little Juarez Cafe, Glenrio, New Mexico

I don't think I've mentioned this on the forum before now. Someone wanting to model a railroad depot made me remember this, it's a take on the abandoned Little Juarez Cafe off of old U.S. Route 66:




In the children's cartoon movie "Cars", I think the architectural design was used for the racing museum. You can see that I took a few artistic liberties, and so my model isn't entirely accurate:

I probably used FreeCAD 0.16 to model it, but I can't share the file.

Thanks, I did use the Arch WB for the windows and doors but I didn't model it as I might have done an actual building, instead I modeled it more like something that would be 3D printed. I did count concrete blocks from photos in order to get some rough dimensions though (each concrete block with one mortar joint being 8" high x 16" long and I just fudged the walls as being 8" thick). There isn't anything inside except one wall that runs from side to side - here's a view from the bottom minus the floor slab:

Glad you like it! This particular version of the model with the FreeCAD logos might have been a kind of a preliminary study or something like that but I'm not entirely sure. I've been wanting to make a similarly simple model of something like the Blue Dome (old Gulf gasoline filling / service station) in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a while:



and another streamline style diner in Albuqureque, New Mexico:



there's also another particular old building along old Route 66 that caught my eye, I'll have to find it.
