Hi,
at the request of Kunda1, I open this post to present my last "small" project : a Billet Washer.
Billets are aluminium alloy bars (ø200mm x 8m long) used in industry to make aluminium profiles.
the purpose of this washer, is to clean the billets stored out before entering the oven to avoid defects during extrusion.
some pictures of the project:
A 400L tank feeds a booster pump (230 PSI)
Water is sprayed through six nozzles
the water turns in a closed circuit.
prefilter plates are arranged in the tank, and a filter before the pump removes the finest particles

Re: Billet Washer
And some pictures :
I wrote above that it was a "small" project ...
In fact, this washer will be part of a larger project which should be released in less than a year.

Re: Billet Washer
Looks very good! Did you do any drawings as part of the project as well?
