This particular model I generated a little over a year ago in FC V0.16, the greater majority of the parts were drawn in Part Design WB with the use of Part WB for Helix, cubes and cylinders, all assembled using A2.
Assembly strategies vary with the model at the time, sometimes starting from the ground up or from the middle out, components drawn in numerical order as indicated on the plans.
In some conditions Sub assemblies are useful, my only hesitation in creating subassemblies is that they do not retain the correct colours when imported into an assembly, I guess it is due to the different lighting angles of each part
I am now using V0.18 with assembly A2 plus 4.25, however, I do use the overlap facility incorporated in V0.16 A2 to check placements etc.
