Re: Construction of a storage platform.
OK Thomas, lets rock.
Lets do steel-engineering!
What about the beam connections?
Can you show a workflow with connections?
Dimension of the connection plates. Which bolts?
The most difficult part.
You use profiles which cant produced in the real world.
No rounding between flange/web ( in german: Ausrundung zwischen Flansch/Steg fehlt).
Why dont you use the boltsFC makro for profiles?
Working fast is one point, working correct is another.
To be clear: I like your work!
Can you post a fast workflow with all details?
My words sounds like rant.
This is not my intention.

Re: Construction of a storage platform.
This is a current project we are working on.
The steel-frame must be boltet at the concrete walls of the
elevator engine-room. No building plans available, only a rough
measurement at the site. I need a horizontal/vertical tolerance-compensation,
like the clamp. Spreading the profiles over a sketch works fast, but
the "fun" beginns with the connections.
Would be cool if you could show a fast workflow including the
connections to your storage-frame.

Re: Construction of a storage platform.
Thanks for the feedback. complete agreement. I will go into the subject further. Freecad also has profiles with rounded shapes, but so far I have not been able to model them "directly".
here is a video with more details, screws etc:
