Another small step in manufacturing with open souce software. It took a few iterations on FreeCAD to finalize the design. The first iteration was a disaster. I used one set of sketch for al the extrusions and lost myself in required rotations needed to assemble the cart. Hence the sideway cart. The second iteration was better, but I went back the next day and was able to simplify the design in FreeCAD. Certainly easier than having to cut and grind away actual material. The wheels were download from online castor wheel supplier website in step format and imported into FreeCAD.
Anyway, the entire design and fabrication took a few hours a day over a week to complete.

Awesome! The final product picture is a nice touch! As is the logo mapped to the welding machine box.
