From construction to real part (e-guitar humbucker holder)
Hello All
at my e-guitar the two humbucker holders are cracked into parts cause of less quality of plastic and design.
Starting point >>> two holders with different dimensions
Small Holder
Big Holder
After printing following I have to rework at the part
> The holes are small but screws could set
> The countour I set at the big holder wasn't the same as at the guitar so I
grinded a bid and then it was okay.
Acc. the construction because I'm not experianced well in the workflow
so that it is not complete parametric, but if somebody need holders like
that maybe it could be helpfull.

Nice project. Are you interested in some comments concerning your sketching?

Hello chrisb
there is not a lot to say I used a normal sketch and sketches based on date planes
I'm not well experianced, learning by doing.

Indeed. Nanayaw, if you are interested, let me know, because I will have to reinvestigate your sketches. After all it's more than a month ago that I looked at them.

Re: From construction to real part (e-guitar humbucker holder)
So here are my comments, they may be educational for others:
- You should prefer geometric constraints over dimensions. As soon as dimensions are repeted it is a strong indicator for replacing one of them.
Your Sketch contains 42, of which are 25 dimensions:
- If you thoroughly choose the origin, you can simplify your sketch even further. If necessary adapt the Attachment or the AttachmentOffset to properly arrange it relative to some in the outer world. The sketch refactored has 25 constraints of which 9 are dimensions: - Finally you should consider to model only 1/4 and then use a pattern / multipattern on the feature using the sketch

Hello chrisb
Thanks for your great explaintation
Could you please share the sketch then it will be easier to analyse
