Can I return to the old set of colors for my designs?

Postby mrvic » Sun Jul 21, 2019 4:47 am

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.18.2.
Build type: Release
Python version: 3.6.8
Qt version: 5.9.5
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.3.0
Locale: Spanish/Spain (es_ES)

When I used the previous versions of FreeCad, 0.14, 0.15, and 0.16, it used to pick colors for the new pieces that, while definitely not impressive, where fairly reasonable and workable. But when I upgraded my Ubuntu and tried the new version 0.18.2 from PPA, I found out it defaulted to a new set of darker colors...

Those darker colors are impossible to work with, in my opinion. Is there any way to return to the old set of colors?

It should not be black. It should be gray.

The black colour indicates that the object is invalid. You can upload your FreeCAD file so we can try to find the source of that issue. It often happens when doing boolean operations with coplanar faces.
