papyblaise: Good examples, I'm part of a robotics club (we're just amateurs but it's a lot of fun and we are learning a lot) and I'm currently designing the vision part of our droid project. I like a challenge so I think I'm going to go for it.
Thanks for everyone's help, I really appreciate it. I need to learn more about shape binders in freecad as that is how the example in the other post works, this looks like a very powerful tool and until this I knew nothing about it. I have other complex shapes I need to make for other projects and I hope this shape binder tool will come in handy.
