customise position of coordinate axis in bottom RH corner?

AFAIAC this is no issue at all - you can relocate NavCube to any position on the screen you want, just by dragging it, whereas coordinate axis is fixed.

actually, given that the navi cube also has the axis cross, what's the use of this separate one? Shouldn't we just put the labels on the axis in the cube and get rid of the standalone axis cross?

Axis cross for me, you can keep the navi doodad. :mrgreen:

Having duplicate axis crosses is still silly, what can be done is to unify the navicube's with the other so it looks good when both are enabled but make it possible to disable the cross or the cube individually.

Isn't that what we have at the moment?
Both/either navcube or coordinate system in the corner can be switched off (in Preferences) and axis cross can be toggled (in View).
Perfect as far as I am concerned because everything is controllable and all options cater for all kind of tastes ;)
