Sketcher: start and end condintion for splines

Post by Piero69 »

with all cads I was used to draw splines by the classic "start and end condintion" (tangency).

In FC the sketcher doesn't support this option, is there a workaround to make up for this limitation?

@chrisb "Sketcher lecture" has a paragraph about this IIRC. You'll find a link to the document in his forum signature. ;)

it's a shame the mention plugin doesn't add a link to the mentioned user's profile :|

Short answer to the question: create a construction line and give it endpoint tangency to the spline

Here's a recent thread in which we discussed possible workarounds for the lack of tangency to the B-spline edge: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=67197
