To make a bolt and a nut, what sequence would you use?
FreeCAD 0.20. To make a bolt and a nut, what sequence would you use? YouTube video clips can be hard to follow ... and some are using pre-FreeCAD 0.20.

Fasteners WB. From addon manager.

I should be more specific ... PVC pipe threads ... male and female ... about 1.7 inches in diameter.

For a boss like that, probably a revolve followed by an additive helix.

I go to the hardware store and buy a PVC 1 1/2 inch male adapter.
When I go to a hardware store, all PVC pipes and threaded adapters are the same throughout the country. Whatever it is, I buy it and everything fits.
It would be good if there were a standard library of threaded PVC pipe adapters for US folks.
The threaded diameter is slightly smaller on the front end, so it tightens as I screw it on a 1 1/2 inch female adapter. When I go to a hardware store, all PVC pipes and threaded adapters are the same throughout the country. Whatever it is, I buy it and everything fits.

Pipe threads are an outright mess regarding standardisation. The US uses NPT ("National Pipe Thread") or NPTF while in Europe we usually have Whitworth Pipe threads. Both come in various forms - tapered male, cylindrical female or the other way round.
What you have looks like it's NPTF ("National Pipe Tapered Fine" or "Dryseal"). Dimensions can be found here: https://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/npt- ... d_750.html
