Troubles with Offset Tool

Hello,

I'm trying to offset (Draft toolbox) contour in sketch by exactly 2 mm (see attached project) but no success.
First I selected working plane parallel to sketch ant then selected sketch and clicked Offset button. When I move mouse strange rectangle is displayed:

After mouse click no offset is produced.
Then I downgraded Sketch and tried to offset one Edge. When I move mouse Edge displayed way off mouse cursor:

What I doing wrong?
