I have changed the algorithm to find geodesics on surfaces. The idea is a stepwise reduction of the length of a given path following the forces on the surface. The idea is
Put a string on the surface and then pull it tight.

Thanks a lot, your works are a huge step forward for surface modelling with freecad and deserve to spend time to study all features.

Have you already made a feature to sew several faces together?

The main task here is to find all that gaps in a shell and create useful segments of the faces to connect them.
it's on my task list and I still wait for the idea to solve the problem with a short method.
