Sorry, I didn't mean to reopen the question again (indeed, that solution works nicely!) - just pointing out that I had forgotten I had even asked the question before, let alone what the solution was ;)

This tab was open for almost 4 years. :o
You need at least FreeCAD 0.19.23300 to edit my current sketches.
