Maybe you need a special feature, go into Macros_recipes and Code_snippets, Topological_data_scripting.

Which menu in FreeCAD is that on? The article wasn't clear on that point.

it is ...
at the bottom of the wiki page there you can find the macro... run that and you get an result.
