Printing problem of hidden lines in drawing

Postby cnirbhay » Thu Dec 15, 2016 11:06 am

Is there any way out by which a user can get hidden line same an ordinary line?

A Hidden line has separate properties than an ordinary line. If scaled, it gets distorted and does not get printed properly.

I realised this when getting orthographic projections of a structural member with rebars on a drawing sheet. The rebars are shown as hidden lines on the sheet. For the time being, we've proposed a temporary solution to this problem given in this link: ( ... n-freecad/)

But this is something like rounding off and we need to modify the model as per our requirement.

Is there any accurate way? Can we show rebars along with the parent structural member as an ordinary line?

Thank you.

You could maybe make two views on top of each other... One that shows the concrete, and another the rebars, on top of it... This way you could control both independently
