Move or delete holes

Postby Maavhamt » Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:17 am

Dear All,

Please see ... FCStd?dl=0

I'm trying to delete or move a series of holes from this manifold.

The holes either need to be deleted and reformed on the opposite face or moved to the opposite face. However whatever I try to do I get little exclamation marks appear on other items in the tree. I have tried:

deleting each one of the 3 components one by one in different orders
deleting all 3 at once
deleting using "delete"
deleting using "Removes the selected objects" in OpenSCAD in all combinations
moving the solenoid inlet drawing to the opposite face by changing the "Z" dimension to 0 mm
reversing[/list] the sense of the pocket

I can't think of anything else. Any ideas, please?

I am on a phone so can't be specific or test your file. However in general terms in PartDesign, you would have to delete or edit the feature you want to change and the redo your model from that point on wards. All solid features after the first one you need to change need to manually have their sketches remapped to the appropriate new face. If you have used external geometry in a sketch it will be deleted so you have to manually add them back again. Note that the topological naming limitation will likely mean that many even quite trivial edits will mess up the rest of your model.
