Re: Curves workbench
I assume you guys are, naturally, documenting this in an easy understandable way in a publicly accessible place?
Re: Curves workbench
You mean to write a nice documentation. Why not.Pauvres_honteux wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 8:29 am I assume you guys are, naturally, documenting this in an easy understandable way in a publicly accessible place?
Re: Curves workbench
As far I looking for, there are not tool to make a 3D parametric Spline from several vertex.
Example: my file to "smooth" the discretized Edge.
Chris, what do you think about that? or I missed the right tool?

Re: Curves workbench
Interpolation Curve ?
Approximation Curve ?
What do these tools lack ?

Re: Curves workbench
I mean a 3D Bspline. Like the sketcher, but without use it and in 3D.
Just by giving a list of vertex or a wire, the same workflow with interpolated curve.

Re: Curves workbench
If I dare represent the FreeCAD community in this, I'd say you guys are moving the surface and curves programming a good bit forward and upward in a strong manner. Documenting it in a way both mere mortal users, as myself, and other programmers understand would be highly appreciated by us all.
Keep up the good work!
Re: Curves workbench
@Chris_G there are some pending PRs on the Curves repo that need attention at your convenience

Re: Curves workbench
The following file has a Bezier Curve created by importing from a 3dm file ( ImportNURBS workbench).
It would be good to be able to edit it, but as far as I can tell all the curves/nurbs workbenches only allow for curves created by themselves
and don't seem to handle standard FreeCADBezier objects

Re: Curves workbench
hi?
is there any chance to add option to export bspline shapes int single sketch with its position?
that would be perfect to manipulate manually .
maybe it is possible to do it now but I didn't find any

Re: Curves workbench
Sketches are 2D, and you can convert a 2D B-spline with Draft Draft2Sketch.
