FreeCAD 80/20 Models

Post by sjgallagher2 »

Hello all,

I've published a collection of 80/20 extrusions in FreeCAD format on GrabCAD. Included are .step files, .fcstd profiles, and .fcstd extrusions. Profiles were made by taking cross sections from the .step files, and so the profiles are objects and not sketches. They must be extruded with the Parts workbench (not Part Design). To save the extra step, extruded files are included which are parametrized so that you can just change the length. Origins were placed manually, because originally the cross sections were quite far off center.

The link to the files:

Hope people can get some use out of these. I know it's not easy to get manufacturer models with FreeCAD.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your contribution, unfortunately you have locked it behind a locked fence by uploading it to GrabCAD. I am boycotting GrabCAD as it forces people to register an account to download files. IMO this totally goes against the open source philosophy.

Please consider sharing your files without constraint by uploading them to the FreeCAD-library.

Thanks.
