I can't mesh my part

Post by Groguigui »

Hi,

My version :
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.17.11827 (Git)
Build type: None
Branch: master
Hash: ca4488f4387f761df47322038585b23cb5a1bd73
Python version: 2.7.12
Qt version: 4.8.7
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.1.0
Locale: French/France (fr_FR)

I use > Part > Cube and in > FEM > Analysis > GMSH.
I don't know why, but when I do a mesh with GMSH (for all parts), anything happened. No error in Python Console.

I have yet used FreeCAD before, but I didn't have this problem. May be my recent installation is no good? My version?

Thanks!

Hi, maybe your model is not good, but we can not check that because you did not upload it. Without your FCstd file nobody can give an answer

But this file is trivial!

just tried your model. Works flawless on my system. I had similar problems in the past and solved it by defining a customized Gmsh binary path to a manually downloaded Gmsh version (Edit => Preferences => FEM => Gmsh...). I'm not sure if it will solve your problem, but it's a try and isn't much effort.
