Check my file. ;) reflecting line seems be a right solution.

In this case Reflect Lines works perfectly, just as you want it to.

Getting the parting line via reflect lines works very well, and is even parametric. Thank you for this feature!

I am still struggling to construct a parting *plane* based on this though. The regular extrusion / offset etc tools do not seem to like the reflect line output, even after converting it to splines in the curves WB, creating a ruled surface between two copies etc. Has anyone managed to create a reasonable mold parting plane from a 3d reflect line?
