When i did a first few quick tests i got such results. Part Connect command (refine property of the resulting Connect feature set to true). But now i see sometimes there needs to be a small displacement (of a few nm) involved. As when there is a "perfect fit" i can get such result as seen on your image. Well i guess too bad then. ;)

P.S. But then again it does look like a command like Part Connect is (at least up to a point) intended for completing such tasks:

Wow, never thought these Part pipe tools could handle such situations... Trying now too, indeed the result is very impressive. Tolerance might need to be raised a bit (setting it to 1mm gives very good results for me)

Great result Yorik!. Unfortunately I can not get the same thing. I tried to change all available options (Refine and Tolerance), but the result is not valid as yours. Tested in Linux and Windows, FC0.16 and FC0.17. Where am I wrong?

Can you publish your file?

EDIT I can get a look similar to yours if I do Cutout and a Clone of the "tool part".

Hi Renato.

Sometimes it will just work but when something like this happens:

Image

Try to adjust the X,Y (or Z) Placement property of one of the beams by a few nm. Until the result on the screen looks OK.

you can use the "cut-plane" tool from arch-wb to trim the beams.
First: select beam to trim in model tree
Second: select cutting plane on "trimming" beam
Third: hit cut-plane button
Thanks. Something has to be improved. For now I have this. Not bad.

Hi Renato , and the others
With 2 questions I synthetize in 1: 1 Rexroth profile structure (why not) :?:
In view of the result it does not :!:
In truth not at all, I think I have too much to ask the machine
So I cheated, I used a beam H which was used to cut the profile at 45 °
But that spawned me 1 alien, that had to explode 2 times before getting the result there

Cutting-time 3 sec, on my machine and using FC0.17
it runs fine. Used the cut-plane tool from arch-wb as described above.
