In what format shall I save/export ".FCStd" to enjoy above stated.

Sorry my English is not the best, but I will try to explain.
Proprietary CAD program like Catia, Solidworks, NX and Creo, they all have their own geometric kernel and their own data model. If you create a parametric model inside of such a CAD program, you need the same program to change features inside the model tree, like sketches, pad, pocket, loft and sweep.
With NX you can't change Catia, Solidworks or Creo created files.

Step is special format to exchange cad geometry between different cad programs.
But it will loose the history how the model was created. You can't change a sketch or a fillet value.
It's just the shape in 3D as a solid or a shell.

But you can create a new sketch, pocket or pad, but never change existing geometry.

I hope you can understand what I mean.

Best regards
Wilfried
