Can't rotate, move or pan

Hello
since today I'm unable to rotate, move or pan anything. Simply the commands with the mouse doesn't work and that in all style navigation options. I'm using a wireless mouse as well the touchpad from my laptop, nothing works. I've forced an upgrade today, but that also didn't help.
Someone has an idea please?

If you have already tried different mouse models it is not very likely to help, but you can try deleting or moving your config files. Please note that you will have to configure the mouse model again.

Yes, it is unusual. I have seen the mouse model changing all of a sudden, but nothing else in this direction.

Here is what I would try next, but it is in fact only guessing

- Have you checked that the config files are newly created after you deleted them?
- reboot computer
- do the icons for different views work?
- does the panning work with normal mouse? Perhaps the battery is low and keep mouse down plus movement doesn't work
- check free memory with command free
- check free disk space
- install old 0.16
- install appimage
- write log file
