Creating symmetrical objects

Postby saurabhsaurc » Thu Aug 16, 2018 8:22 am

Hey folks. I've searched a lot regarding this and would really like to know what is a good, efficient way of creating a symmetric sketch .

I have tried out the following ways (check attachments )

1. Use mirror option in the sketcher. The problem here is that you have to mirror each and every line/point/curve individually, and then link them up with symmetry constraints, its not efficient at all.

2. Use mirror option in the part window. The problem here is that it creates two sketches, which you then have to extrude (or whatever) individually, and then use boolean fusion to make them one part.

Neither is very satisfactory, thus the question.
