3D column with an elliptical cross section

Is there a 3D solid with an elliptical cross section in only two dimensions (i.e., not the doorknob, pill) available in any of the workbenches? I need it to be solid I guess in order to use it as a boolean subtraction.

Or can a cylindrical primitive solid be stretched into an ellipse in this software?

hammax's suggestion is just one of many.

Alternatives:

• Create an ellipse primitive (through the Part CreatePrimitives utility) in the Part Workbench and apply a Part Extrude
• Create a Draft Ellipse and create a Part Extrude or even an Arch Structure
• Start a PartDesign Body, create a sketch containing an ellipse, then make a PartDesign Pad
