transform - position of the tool (three axis arrows)

Post by Celestabauer »

Hello everybody,
this is my first question here:

When I start to transform an object
(= moving along the x/y/z axis) the arrow tool
appears often at positions where it covers/hides
parts of the objects - or the arrows appear
too far away from the transformed object.
If I use the keyboard shortcuts 'V,S' to center the objects,
then the arrow tool appears very big compared with the
transformed object...

Is it possible to modify that behaviour?
(e.g. arrow transparency, arrow size,
arrows default place)

Or a workaround?

Thank you! :)

I have the same question. Sometimes the Transform 3 Axis/Arrows is too far from the object or it's too close/obstructing my view of the object. Is there a way to modify how far or close the 3 Axis/Arrows is to what I'm trying to transform? Thanks!

Or is there any way to reset the "zero" point on the arrows? For example, if I have an object in a strange angle, after I adjust the object properly, I would like the position/placement/angle of the object I just adjusted to be (0,0,0) and the angle to be 0 degrees, rather than the original placement number settings. Thanks!

Heini, I'm assuming from your post in the thread that you linked, that there isn't a way to currently do what I asked above? Thanks for the reply
