looks promising
Good to hear.

DeepSOIC, you suspected quite some time ago, that possibly multiple events are processed instead of only one. Did you ever investigate this further? It started with changing from Qt4 to Qt5.

Not really.

Even though I don't have a mac, I have a similar issue on Win with touchpad, so I can do at least something.

I plan diving into rewriting gesture navigation in early march may, so hopefully I'll take a moment to look if it can be fixed.

Well, maybe =) But considering how rarely I code for FreeCAD now, it may be pointless.

What does it take to get the mac? There is a plenty of used macs available in st.-Petersburg for reasonable prices, is it worth getting one from Germany, with its german keyboard?

It's not a laptop, it's a Mac Mini, so it needs an external keyboard anyway. Not really the latest model (mid 2011), 4GB Ram, upgraded to HighSierra. Looo has one and uses it for compiling FreeCAD.

Then it doesn't have the mac trackpad, so what's the point?

I am thinking of a good excuse, but there is none. It was simply a stupid idea. Sorry for the noise.

As of May-June 2019 @DeepSOIC has updated the gesture code, check out https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36387
and please continue the discussion in that thread.
Thanks!
