Line at concrete distance from point

Post by Michalik »

Hello everybody. Im using the FreeCad first day and Im not able to find how can I create a line at determinated distance from point/object. I mean, I have a second point of last line and I'd like to create (start) new line at 100mm distance (for example) away from this point..I remember that in AutoCad 2000 it was in principle very easy - snap from function and using local coordinates for new line..thx very much..

Hi Michalik, welcome to the forum.
Are you talking about Sketcher? There you have the Length or Distance constraint, which you apply with this icon: https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/images/ ... Length.svg

You can convert Draft elements to sketcher.
