Color Parts

I've been playing with this for a few hours and am unable to get it to work. I'm on 0.17
Can I color individual faces, separate pads or a pocket word?
Or does a color apply to an entire body only?

You can use right mouse->Set colors on the last feature in the body. Please note that the colors are lost, if you add another feature.

Right, but that colors the entire thing the same color.
I'd like to make different part of this different colors.
Is that not possible?

Solids drawn in the Part workbench can get colors on the individual faces

It's not possible in Body features in v0.17. It's possible in v0.18.

If you do not want to switch to v0.18, then create a Draft Clone of your Body, and color the Clone.

I've installed 0.18, what are the steps to color specific faces?
If I go to 'Parts' workbench, select a face, then choose appearance and select a color, it colors the entire body, not just the face.

I apologize if I'm missing something here...but I thought that reply was for setting the color of the entire body, by selecting the last feature. I would like to understand how to set a color for individual faces.

I was able to setup different colors on faces, but it didn't save.
When I opened the model up again, the colors were gone.
Bug?
