I don't weld, but I've mostly worked in companies that employ welders. TIG seems much more difficult that MIG. At my current job, we only do big messy MIG welds. :D
It's like learning CAD:

Practice! Practice! Practice!

;) ;) ;)
Another problem is that so many video tutorials on Youtube teach bad practices.
Also one other thing seams to becomme a prob more and more: A lot of Tutorials are made with old versions of FC... The workfow changes, especially the change of from 16 and lower to 17 and highter brought a lot of changes.
Since a while we have with A2+ an assembly WB (as add on). An functioning assembly WB will change the workflow again and may be (i hope so) the tutorials made with FC 0.17/0.18 become outdated with FC 0.19 to... ;) ;)

hobbyman, could you please stop quoting always complete posts. It is easier to understand if you quote only the relevant parts. You can do so by marking the relevant part while editing and clicking the quote button at the right upper corner of the post to be quoted.

TIG is easy. Hit pedal, release, unstick tungsten, grind tungsten, repeat. (Again and again.)

I like TIG because it is not so messy and no sparks flying all over. Clean up is minimal to none. I have a MIG welder but seldom use it. :)

Added: TIG is great but the expense is speed, or lack thereof.
