Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
Here it was more "Ask for a proof if you (really) can't find how to do it by yourself"
Tough battles make big victories. And I have to say that I almost gave up, it took one and a half hour to find.
I'd never found it ! Thanks for this detailed complement. The culprit is, that the body has no Tip. [...]
Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
Stonefire, if you know now how to do it, I would recommend you recreate your object from a vanilla file. For one it is an exercise, for the other you get rid of all possible kinds of unwanted and undetected residue garbage in the model.

I think I've got som steps forwards, despite something is still at bit unclear - and some quistions are still beyound my skills
BUT - I'm on my way - still learning - still setting the level higher than my skills

Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
What chrisb said is that he would advise that you restart your design from scratch (with all you new skills in your backpack).
As you probably run a lot of 'trial & error' in your design, at this step your file is really in dire straits.
Restarting back from blank file will prevent you to waste time solving problems that are actually due to residual scraps.

Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
Sorry, not being a native english speaker I thought it was a commonly used word.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
Yep ! Used mainly in the software development world. Personally I use it to designate the standard/genuine flavor of something rather than a blank thing. But my mind was flexible enough to figure it out.
EDIT :
That was understandable ... at least for another non native english speaker.
Re: Newbie: Strange behavior
can I reuse my Sketches ? Or from new also
