Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
I would assume, it's supposed to be there. But in a release I downloaded some half-a-year ago, there isn't.kisolre wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 2:05 pm The Windows release downloaded from here https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_ ... 3/releases does not contain Assembly 3 folder under Mod and no Assembly 3 WB appears.
You can try download asm3 as zip, create "Assembly3" folder in Mod, and extract that zip into the folder. All add-ons can be installed in this manner; I'd assume asm3 is installable this way as well.
Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
My Windows download FreeCAD-asm3-20190202-9a4632f4-4664316-Win64.7z which gives this version info:kisolre wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 2:05 pm I dont see how to actually install that. OS: Windows 7
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.18.15841 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: (HEAD detached at FETCH_HEAD)
Hash: 362441873b984a4f169fd430f989aee1016a337e
Python version: 2.7.14
Qt version: 4.8.7
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.2.0
Locale: English/UnitedKingdom (en_GB)
contains the Assembly 3 workbench as expected
I wouldn't expect to see an Assembly 3 folder in Mod as I believe it's built-in like Sketcher, Part etc Is your version info different to mine?
Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
There was probably some error with an old version of another WB installed through Addon Manager. I started removing them one by one and checking if Asm3 will appear. Then when it did I installed them in opposite order and now all is Ok.
Would be nice to have a button "Update all" in Addon Manager.
Thanks all

Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
I added a new type of binder called SubShapeBinder to support binding object from another document, and proper handling of relative placement. It's in the PartDesign toolbar just beside the original ShapeBinder. In addition, not directly related to your case here, but you might want to check out this tutorial.
Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
Hi Guys
As I am a mold designer, I need one part with actual dimensions and another clone with shrinkage added. What I tried in last two days is go to draft wb and use scale tool. Make new point at origin center and scale it to my requirement. I tried by changing original values and its properly reflect it in scaled model (I named it molded part here).

Re: How to duplicate ShapeBinder?
I think that I already mentioned above that a simple scale will not work because this would also enlarge the holes (the axle will be loose) and the faces that needed to push against each other will probably not be in the proper position. But thanks for the tip. I missed the Draft possibilities in my understanding of FreeCAD.AIMEDSOL wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 6:21 pm Hi Guys
