Hi all,
When you have very thick walls, your window openings cannot be limited to a rectangular tunnel: the openings will be trapezoidal (they widen to the interior).
So now my question, what is the simplest way to design such openings and keep them compatible and attached to the usual windows? I know that I can first design the trapeze and remove it from the wall and then add a window but isn't it a more efficient way to design such masonry?
Cheers,
JMB

Hmm no reaction. I suppose it is not possible...
Re: Creating custom window openings
You can simply design your own opening shape with any other technique. Then, subtract that opening from the wall. Then, place your window at the correct location, but don't attach it to the wall (ie - make sure its "Host" property is empty)
The only advantage of "hosting" the window in a wall is that it will create an automatic hole. You can still have the window to move with the wall by attaching its base sketch to the wall face.
