Can't cut with an offset (but can with original piece)

Forgive my ignorance but I need some explanation on those results.

I guess that the problem is that it counts 0 solids and after that there is one. I guess again that if an object isn't a solid will cause all kind of problems.

As I understand although that if an object isn't a solid the check won't complain, and the key here is to interpret the summary results.

Did I got it right?
