Attached (Dropbox) is the model so far. The 7x3mm (inside) channel extrusion has not been added/attached to the inside of the wheel pant yet. My thinking was to make a sketch on the face at the bottom of the metal fork and then extrude it up.

"Part/Split/Slice apart" first is the profile, second is the fender and then remove what you don't need.
Part_SliceApart
The slicing object can be a solid also.

You can't design the parts without some master axles, IMHO.

Well GlouGlou I did not know that!! My FreeCad experience only started when I joined this forum, its been a steep learning curve, but thanks to you and others on the forum I am making progress (slowly).

I am unsure how you related the Datum Plane/Datum Line to the stringers and profiles?

With some master sketch, you can adjust easily the positions of parts like the strut.

That's good. I will study the Dependency Graph and then try to reproduce what you have done to help my understanding. I may have more questions!

I see that the SketchMidProfile end points are attached to the Wheel Axle end points. The only way I know how to do this is by using Shape Binder and External Geometry, which you have not done. How did you do this?

It is ExternalGeometry:

I have now discovered "Extended Naming", that was new to me.
Your first screenshot shows a "Section View" on the right hand side, how do you get that? And what is the significance of it?
But I still need help (step by step) on how to achieve a link between the Wheel Axle ends and the SketchMidProfile B-Spline ends!

While you editing SketchMidProfile, make sure Wheel Axle sketch be visible, turn the sketch to see his back, then you be able to select the line to link it as an external geometry. When you get the purple line, select (with a window) the points and join them for make them coincident. Now the axle and bspline are linked.
