After boolean operation, part disappears in part design

Post by Dempsy »

I performed a boolean operation with two parts. One of the parts disappears afterwards. I played around with some of the property functions and found "display mode body" under the property>view. I changed the option from "through" to "tip" and everything shows up. Can someone point me to the area of the manual that explains the property window or can someone explain to me about this operation please?

Thank you,

Dempsy...

First a link to the documentation about Display Mode Body => https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/PartDes ... orkbenches

Then some general remarks :
  • Your FreeCAD version is quite outdated. The 0.18 release can be downloaded here
  • You should post your file as your description is quite unclear. The boolean operation in PartDesign is used between an active body operation and another body. It should not be used between parts.

As far as I have seen it cannot be used with a part as second object.
