Good afternoon everyone I hope your day's going great so far! I'm hoping this is an easy one to fix but have had no luck on Youtube or standard search to find this exact case. I have an Assembly Drawing that has the views backwards in the Assembly.
The Front View of the Assembly is defined as the Top View and the Front is the Bottom View. In Solidworks I could set the current view by right clicking and selecting set as and define the view in this fashion, it doesn't appear to be that easy on FreeCAD. How do I set the view on the assembly to it's correct counterpart? FreeCAD Specs below:
Thank you for all of your help and have a Blessed Day!

Re: To Set Current View
if properly constrained rotating first part should make the others follow. There is no such functionality that you ask in FreeCAD.
Re: To Set Current View
Hi,
The macro I proposed on this thread can allow you to map a face on the XY plane. optionally an extra edge can be set parallel to X.
It supports selecting several objects but has limitations in that case.
HTH.

Re: To Set Current View
To me it seems that the pieces are placed in an unwanted orientation in the 3D view, so I'm thinking it's the pieces that should be reoriented and not the view... I think you can put all the pieces in a Part container, then reorient the Part.ragnarox248 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 5:31 pm How do I set the view on the assembly to it's correct counterpart?
Did you model each piece from scratch or did you Import them?
