This is now actually one of the older live bugs in our system: like @Kunda1, I don't get a hard crash, just a message that the offset can't be completed (which I think is actually correct, right?). @openBrain, do you still experience a crash when you follow your original procedure on a recent build of FreeCAD?

Indeed I cannot reproduce anymore and just get an error.
