How do I transform PartDesigner Bodies into a plane representing a 4x8 sheet?

Once it's in this broken state, the part view no longer updates in realtime. You can pan, zoom, drag, during which nothing new displays until you release the button/key; upon that release, the view snaps to whatever new orientation you did.

I tried the Fit All view button from the GUI, it did nothing. I also know that button normally works fine (when not in this broken state).
