View keeps spinning and zooming

I just installed v0.18, and from the first start it behaves strangely. Immediately when I create new document (or open existing), the view starts to spin and zoom erratically. No problem with 0.17 on same machine.

I disabled animation from display settings, and tried all navigation styles. Tried also keys 0-6 to set view. PC was restarted and I even uninstalled and reinstalled FreeCAD, but no change, it keeps spinning.

You probably have a key stuck on your keyboard. Try to install and run http://code52.org/carnac/ which displays keypresses and check the result.

No stuck keys, I tried Carnac. And since 0.17 works ok (I have both versions open), there must be some bug in 0.18.

A suggestion in order to assist narrowing down the issue, would you mind downloading and unpacking with the use of 7-Zip to a completely different folder, this specific portable version of 0.18.16110 https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... ortable.7z
You don't need to remove the installed version of 0.18.16110 though I believe you will need to create a shortcut for the portable version and point it to the src\bin\FreeCAD.exe file.

Installed portable version, and I can confirm that it does not work any better, view is still spinning

Might be QT handling keypresses differently in different versions.

All keys tested using keyboardtester.com, all keys worked, except "Com" and "Sel" (no such keys on keyboard). No keys are stuck.

After rewatching the video that numbers at the bottom right (the virtual size of the active view) increase like it is zooming out with the mouse wheel (rotating in towards you). I could recreate the same behavior until it reaches INF mm x INF mm. Could you check your mouse? Unplug an external mouse, disable touchpad,... reboot windows,...

Using desktop pc, so unplugged mouse completely, started FreeCAD, creating new document via keyboard, but still no change. It keeps rotating and zooming. PC rebooted two times. Keyboard and mouse works perfect with other programs and older version of FreeCAD.

I tried portable version on Windows 10 running on virtual machine (same pc), and there I have no problems.
