Question#1:
I'm trying to create a solid that was described in the posting (https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 4&start=30) and its accompanying uploaded FreeCAD file (ppemawm_exhaust_rocking_lever_test_nc2.fcstd).
I'm having difficulties creating a solid where in one section of the solid, I would need to create an additivePipe from sketch:rib.mid to sketch:rib.end where the side of the sweep is delimited by two edges (one edge is a straight line and the other an arc). I have been unsuccessful. Could someone help out by giving me the steps to accomplish this?
I was using the additivePipe, the documentation (https://freecadweb.org/wiki/PartDesign_AdditivePipe)
Question#2:
There is a pink circle on the right side of geometry. I do not know how it turned this color. Document says that pink represents a link to an external geometry but I have not initiated such an action. Why is it pink and how do I remove it?
I'm using FreeCAD...

Re: additivePipe usage
Just add rib.end as a section of your existing AdditiveLoft. If the pipe doesn't correctly follow the edges, you have to add other intermediate sections along the path.bzb.dev001 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 4:40 am Question#1:

I have a quick look but absolutely can't determine why this circle is pink. IIRC, external geometries are displayed this way only in sketch editing mode, thus I don't think this is the reason why.Question#2:

Re: additivePipe usage
PartDesign is not able to follow 2 paths for a sweep. You must select only one.
Here the sweep is a multisection sweep. Need path #1 then the #2.
For a 2 path sweep use the curve WB (work only with surfaces)
Or give more profiles for an accurate sweep.
...
the pink colour is a little bug. Just change the colour of the sketch.

Re: additivePipe usage
Hi
This object is a reinforcement between 2 tubes of structure, so you draw the 2 tubes and the reinforcement by a loft between 2 sketches, and make filets to the lines of welds

Re: additivePipe usage
I have no idea why it is pink, but you can remove it by changing to the View tab at the left bottom, select the sketch and change the line color to something non-white, confirm, and change it back to white.bzb.dev001 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 4:40 am There is a pink circle on the right side of geometry. Re: additivePipe usage
I remove the structural tubes and I get renfort-2
I make a finished carbon copy the internal radii and I get renfort-3
I made a carbon copy because only one file is too big
