Snapping Draft Module

Post by dubstar-04 »

OS: Ubuntu 12.10
Platform: 32-bit
Version: 0.13.1827 (Git)
Branch: master
Python version: 2.7.3
Qt version: 4.8.3
Coin version: 3.1.3
SoQt version: 1.5.0
OCC version: 6.5.0

I am experiencing a strange problem with snapping in the draft module.

I would like to snap to the centre of a circle but i can't quite figure out how to make it work.

Thanks,

Dan

Problem solved.

Preferences -> Draft -> Snap Range was set to 0 I increased this to 5 and it works perfectly!!

You do not have the latest version.

Latest is 0.13.1830 from the new freecad-stable ppa. It is recommended to switch to this stable ppa, as the freecad-daily one, when it resumes with 0.14 development, will bring more instability and bugs.

I did check that after posting. I have updated to the latest version now.

I still experience the same issue, with the snap range set to 0 snapping doesn't occur.

Is this the expected behavior?

No, snap range set to 0 should mean "infinite"... If it doesn't work it's a bug, I'll check that...
