Addon manager crashes

Post by bzb.dev001 »

When using the addon manager to download modules, it crashes FreeCAD and disappears. To reproduce the issue, simply download module successively until it crashes.

Can you run FreeCAD from a terminal to see if there are any error messages there?

This is the FreeCAD console output. In this instance, the crash occurred when I randomly selected a module in the addon manager.

... when selecting GDT workbench

Hi, I was checking out what the different workbenches in Addons manager offers when I got a crash while clicking on the GDT workbench.
This is constituent and repeatable.
It didn't crash for any other workbench when clicking on them.
.
FreeCAD_version.png
I run:
- OpenSUSE Leap 15.1
- KDE Plasma 5.12.8
- KDE Frame work 5.55.0
- Qt-version 5.9.7
- Wayland
- 64 bit
FreeCAD Help doesn't contain any info...

Please read carefully...
I do hope this issue with empty information will be fixed soon though. It is a bit annoying, but I know there are a lot of people involved in discussing solutions and it seems to be quite a challange. For the record I have the latest from repo Science:/ and Science/ (odd to have two different repos with the only name difference of a " : ")
.

Okey, then perhaps the OpenSUSE packager just missed something. Or are there other Linux dists with the same problem out there?

You mean that "copy to clipboard" button does not produce the other info that night be relevant? Like Qt, Python, OCC, Coin versions? As in mine and bejants posts? I don't remember such issue reported so far.
