Preselection highlighting transparency

Post by iari »

Hello,
I think it would be useful that the preselection highlighting would preserve transparency of the object. The reason is that in this way the view would not be completely obstructed by each highlighted object during the mouse movement in the scene.

(Maybe this request is similar to: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=27877, but that was devoted to a specific case)

Thank you!

there is no point in discussing feature requests and usually little point in discussing bugs in old or release versions of FreeCAD, even bugs should be tested in the current development branch as in many cases it has already been fixed.

Download the latest snapshot release for Win or install a Ubuntu Linux variant and use the automatic daily snap shots. Then try its behaviour and if you want something different then discuss that.

The feature you are talking about has changed.

Hi Jim,
I'm sorry to waste your time, but after reading your message, I downloaded the official FreeCAD version from the main site, and this results to be "Version: 0.18.16131 (Git)"... My "old" version "Version: 0.18.16110 (Git)" was maybe of March.

In the releases page (https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases) the title says "FreeCAD 0.18.3", but the files are again relative to 0.18.16...

So, for my lack of knowledge I don't know how to get version 0.19 and to test my issue "preselection highlighting transparency" on it.

Can you help me?
Thanks!
