I've been away from FreeCAD for a few weeks. In the meantime, I bought a new Mac with a new OS X (10.14.14). My old version 0.18 of FreeCAD that worked before had issues .... the selection rectangle did not match the position I clicked. And, the icons at the top of the window were all gray. So I downloaded the version from the FreeCAD home page. The selection works now, but the icons at the top of the window are completely gone. I can do work only by selecting functions from the menu bar. If a sketch is opened, the icons appear.

Re: No icons at top of window
Would your computer get an HiDPI display? Does the problem exist with external display?
Re: No icons at top of window
My new iMac has a built-in display, but I also have a second screen which is VGA. The problem is the same on both screens.
Re: No icons at top of window
I'm very sorry to bother you. I've been away for a few weeks. It did not occur to me to use the VIEW menu to show toolbars. All is working.
