Problem to make complex object

Postby Andri82 » Wed Oct 16, 2019 7:28 am

Hello all,

I use Freecad since 2 month ago, I have learned many things, but I have a problem to create a complexe object. I don't know how can I make this object.

I have tested to make a different sketch in different height, and use the button "sweep", but after that I don't know how to continue.

Thank you in advance, and have a good day all.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It seems you are working in Part workbench. There you can use Draft->Array in its polar form to multiply the pillar.

It's not rounded because the pillar doesn't end horizontally.

If the ends of the walls can be rounded you could model the arc instead of the pillar and add fillets.

I use a BSpline surface with a pin and make a transformation of the poles
which maps the rectangle base grid to a arc sector
then apply Draft polar Array

Hello
Maybe the best solution is draw only one arche (the grey one) and array 12 times and finish whith the base
